How Feng Shui Works To Create Harmony In Your Daily Life

How Feng Shui works to create harmony is not a mystery. This ancient art originating in China, Feng Shui literally means Wind and Water. It relates to the flow of energy or chi, through the universe to your daily life and physical environment for healthier living and improved quality of life. Starting over six thousand years ago, it touches on subjects like physics, philosophy, astronomy and astrology.

The system, which helps to recognize where to place which objects in your home or office, aims to align the energies around you, removing any hindrances and enhancing the flow of chi flow to attract the energies of luck or vitality. To live in balance with the universe and its forces of nature, to be more attuned to nature, the people, and your surroundings.

The energies or chi, literally translate to life’s breath, and is an ancient belief from China. It being an invisible force or energy, binding all life, has three basic forms, Cosmic chi, Body chi and Earth chi. Aligning the objects around your living area so these energies may flow freely and naturally within a balanced environment, will help towards your better quality life, improving your general well being.

An energy map called a bagua, divides your home into eight areas and Bagua means exactly that, eight areas. Using the compass for north and south, the bagua can then be overlaid onto your house blueprints. With an assessment of your home, it will be easy to see the energy flow pattern and where it is hindered or uncontrolled in your home. Two primary principles of Feng Shui will help to achieve this balance and clear the flow of chi.

The second key factor in Feng Shui is the theory of five elements. Those being fire, water, metal, earth and wood. These elements interact in numerous ways and all of them are either constructive cycles or destructive cycles. In combining the two principles of YinYan as well as the theory of five elements, you would use the bagua and overlay it on your home blueprints.

Another major principle is that of the five elements theory. Those five elements being fire, water, metal, earth and wood. The five elements interact in various ways always follows one of two cycles that is either constructive or destructive. The constructive cycle is opposite to the destructive cycle and in placing the bagua on the plan of your home, you would be able to see the energy flow pattern.

Another aspect of Feng Shui is the symbols that represent certain things like luck or excellent health. By placing these objects in specific areas of your home, it can enhance the chi flow and attract the energies pertaining to that symbol. Like the dragon-turtle, that represents prosperity in your business and improved relationships with those around you.

Bringing harmony into your existence is just a matter of balancing you environment and yourself with the flow of energy and can be done with the use of Feng Sui. Applying the principals and a good comprehension on how Feng Shui works to create harmony holds numerous advantages.
