Changing Your Room Quickly
It’s sad but inevitable for every homeowner. You moved in four years ago, had the time of your life decorating and thought you had created the perfect look. Four years later, you’re bored. It’s all the same and you want to change it, but you have no idea where to start or how to pay for it. Believe it or not, it might be easier than you think to revamp your existing room with a few simple changes. You don’t have to empty your savings account to recreate your space.
Perhaps there is an easy way to make the room look new; just try to look at different places you can put the furniture to change the look around. This may be a very simple way to change all those rooms around and make your self less bored with the decor. Don’t just jump into a room and start moving the furniture around though, preplan a bit. Draw up how you think the furniture will look in another place. This will help you to figure out if you like it that way, or another. This will save your back by having to move the furniture a lot less.
If rearranging furniture doesn’t give your room the new spark of life you were hoping for, it’s time to make a few creative changes. You want a new look to your old room because you’re tired of looking at the same color all day long. So change the color without buying new furniture with the help of some beautiful slipcovers. Slipcovers come ready made in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors and you can even buy plain ones and dye them if you can’t find the color you are after. This is a quick, cheap and easy way to completely transform your room on a small budget. If slipcovers aren’t your style, consider just recovering the cushions and leave the frame as it is. This will give you a new look with contrasting colors for added visual interest. You could also use some cheap spray paint to transform an old coffee table. Black spray paint can make a piece of wooden furniture look brand new.
Add a simple little or big rug to the room. Rugs come in so many colors and designs you will be able to come up with a huge change with just that addition. If you want a room that comes alive and is bright, pick some bright colors to put into your room. However, if the room seems too light already, add a darker rug that will bring some warmth into the area. The room may be small and look really small, add a light rug on top of the darker carpet or floor; this will make your room look bigger. Changing the room by adding a rug is a lot quicker than repainting walls.
If your current room was mostly one color like blue why not try brighter colors like reds and yellows. This will give your room a great look and also will brighten up the furniture which is already in the area. Don’t be scared to throw a patter like a plaid into the mix of solid colors. This will make the area modern looking. Just simple little changes will create a different feel in any room which you are tired of. Color as well will boost the appearance of any room just by switching it up a bit.
